2023 Hutchies Training Awards

2023 Hutchies Training Awards

#The Night

The highly anticipated Hutchies Training Awards returned 20 May 2023 at Wests Rugby Club which was built by Hutchies in 2016. Established in 2004, this annual event celebrates the outstanding achievements of Hutchies' cadets and apprentices. The evening, presented by Harry White, National Commercial Manager, and Peter Forsingdal, Training Manager, showcased the exceptional dedication, talent, and hard work exhibited by the recipients.

Due to the unfortunate circumstances caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the awards night was unable to take place in 2021 and 2022. As a result, this year's event was a significant occasion as it honoured and celebrated the achievements of both years’ cadets and apprentices, ensuring that their exceptional efforts were recognised.

Nominations for the awards are made by Hutchies' project teams, who work closely with the apprentices and cadets day in and day out, witnessing their growth and their contributions firsthand. Our people have the opportunity to put forward nominations that reflect the outstanding skills, work ethic, and potential of their apprentice or cadet colleagues. These nominations serve as a testament to the exceptional qualities and achievements demonstrated by the nominees throughout their training journey.

#Cadets

Hutchies' cadets hold a special place in our hearts and play a vital role in shaping the future of the company. We firmly believe in investing in their potential, providing them with training opportunities, and empowering them to become leaders in the construction industry.

The nominations this year speak to the high calibre of cadets we have at Hutchies. A consistent theme that reverberated across all submissions—a testament to how much the project teams truly value their cadets. The foundation of their success lies in their determination to take initiative, the inquisitive nature that drives them to seek answers, their proactive approach to following up, and their willingness to lend a hand for additional responsibilities. These qualities encapsulate the essence of what it means to be a valued Hutchies cadet.
